After running the upgrade, when I tried to boot, the system BIOS went through its normal POST. Then WinXP started. I got the initial WinXP logo screen as usual but about 10 seconds later everything just stopped. No hard drive activity. No booting. The only way out was to press the hardware reset button on the PC.
